Ted Cocheu

Chairman of the Board

 

Ted Cocheu launched Altus365 in 1998. As Chief Executive Officer in charge of strategic and technical direction, he brings decades of leadership, management and industry insight to the company. His innovative thinking and disciplined execution have been driving forces behind the company's sustained success.

Prior to founding Altus365, Cocheu co-founded gForce Systems . The company was later acquired by Docent and then SumTotal. Prior to this, he was principal consultant for Performance Technologies, where he led reengineering projects for Cisco's next generation software release process and Octel's product development lifecycle prior to its acquisition by Lucent.

Cocheu founded the Seagate Institute of Technology and pioneered techniques used in transferring technical knowledge and skills to Far East manufacturing operations. He built his corporate learning capabilities while serving as the director of corporate learning at Conner Peripherals, director of corporate operations training at Unisys, and manager of manufacturing training at Memorex. Cocheu also wrote the popular book, Making Quality Happen: How Training Can Turn Strategy into Real Improvement, published by Jossey-Bass.

Cocheu has authored and published dozens of industry articles and has presented at numerous national and international conferences as a thought leader on workplace learning strategy and technology. He serves on the Board of the eLearning Forum and was past President of the American Society for Training and Development, Silicon Valley chapter. Cocheu has been a guest lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, National University and National Technological University. He earned his BA and MA from the University of California

Jeff Anderson

Jeff Anderson has more than 17 years of venture capital experience helping private emerging growth companies achieve their business goals. Throughout his career, Jeff has led or sponsored investments into a number of successful technology companies and is an experienced board member, having served on 16 private and public company boards. Previously, Jeff was a Managing Director with Mellon Ventures, a $1.4 billion private equity firm affiliated with Mellon Financial Corporation. Jeff joined Mellon Ventures in 1997 and headed its technology practice group and West Coast office in Los Angeles. Prior to Mellon Ventures, Jeff was with BA Venture Partners, a private equity fund sponsored by Bank of America Corp. Prior investments include Hireright (HIRE), Exult (acquired by Hewitt Associates), Lexar Media (LEXR), Multex (acquired by Reuters), Netscaler (acquired by Citrix) and Snap Appliance (acquired by Adaptec).

 

Barbara Stinnett

Board Member 

  Barbara Stinnett is a seasoned operating executive with more than 25 years experience in enterprise and consumer markets. She has helped deliver strong, sustainable, profitable growth to many organizations, ranging from startups to Fortune 50 companies.  Barbara brings to Altus365 the best practices she developed at Hewlett Packard, Sybase, i2 Technologies, SGI, and Sum Total Systems, and as an EVP, President, CEO, and Founder of her own firm.  Barbara has led small and large mergers and acquisitions, such as the HP/Compaq integration, and has a global network that helps companies expand internationally. Her experience also encompasses global marketing, sales and services, and she is a subject matter expert in business intelligence and analytics, social collaboration, unified communications, media and entertainment, global supply chain and manufacturing. Barbara has held multiple board positions, both public and private, is an advisor to multiple CEOs and their boards, and is board certified by the National Association of Corporate Directors.
