Oracle OpenWorld: Delivering Open World Content Beyond San Francisco

Challenge: Oracle, the world’s largest enterprise software company, wanted to capture the 1700+ sessions from Oracle OpenWorld and make all the sessions’ spoken content available on demand to subscribers after the show. The solution needed to integrate with the show’s registration and scheduling system to provide a single entry point for Oracle OpenWorld attendees.

Solution: Altus365 and event organizer, George P. Johnson digitally captured every presentation, combined the speaker’s presentation with their PowerPoint files and made all content searchable and accessible via a rich media portal.

Results: Altus365 successfully captured nearly 1700 keynote, general, executive solution and conference sessions and made the audio/video and PDFs available from the Oracle OpenWorld On Demand portal. With available mp3, mp4 and PDF downloads, OpenWorld On Demand is one of the largest sources of Oracle related content.

Challenge: NetApp needed an effective way to train 900 directly employed system engineers (SEs) and 4,000 to 5,000 technical sales engineers from their partners to become better informed and proficient to sell more NetApp hardware and software.

Solution: NetApp deployed Altus365 vSearchSales to provide on-demand access to its video enabled repository of presentations, software demos, and whiteboard sessions to its sales and partners.

Results: vSearchSales has enabled thousands of sales engineers to have the knowledge to effectively present NetApp solutions to their prospects. NetApp has also saved over 90% in training costs by using Altus365 instead of in-person training.

Raytheon Professional Services: Technical Services Training for Auto Dealerships

Challenge: Raytheon Professional Services (RPS), a leading training outsourcing firm, wanted to quickly deliver late-breaking technical knowledge to service technicians across the U.S. This news had to be delivered in a user-friendly, intuitive and branded platform.

Solution: RPS contracted with Altus365 to repurpose its video training programming into a streaming video format, indexed in a full-text searchable portal for easy, point-of-interest access.

Results: Technician use of the company's new vPortal exceeded expectations. In a recent four-month period, monthly usage increased three-fold to over 11,000 users, 18,000 visits and 9,000 searches. Time-critical information successfully and cost-effectively reached its target audience, with service technicians being actively engaged.

Results: The initial pilot program was a big success, with demand for more than a thousand hours of content per year. Consequently, Cisco contracted Altus365 to develop an on-site service center, meeting their growing demand while ensuring tight delivery deadlines. This, in turn, decreased Cisco staff involvement and cut costs significantly.
